Also added into my last comment... if you notice, the video is cut. Meaning some things are left at a stand still because you dont know what actually happened. Learn all your facts before you criticize. IF that bear had been closer to people and attacked them, the cops would be criticized for not protecting them, even though they were TOLD to get away. And also, the last shots when the bear was running, was not at the bear, it was into the air to continue to scared the bear away. learn facts.

I read this article just today about what happened, and what was NOT caught on film... The young male bear was tranquilized as a crowd formed. The dart didnt take effect. The bear came down and acted aggressive, causing police to open fire. Residents criticized police for overreacting. Police criticized the crowd for being too close, acting like a mob and refused to obey orders to stay back. A spokesman said police did good, and he would not second-guess the actions taken to protect people.

Did i hear right that this was in PA?I am ashamed...I am a PA bear hunter "we got 2 monday" These people and cops were obviously city slickers..All who shot that bear should be arrested and fined and the cops should lose their jobs for not making all those people leave while the bear was still in the tree....They should have made everyone go home.....That was totally out of control with city slickers everywhere screamin and hollerin like that... Unfuckingreal that they shot it dead...holy fuck

There is no fucking reason to shoot at a bear if it was heading for its home. What the fuck is that? Black bears aren't even harmful animals (there are a few exceptions). I have run into black bears MANY times (been within 10 feet) and watched them for hours on end, they are harmless and very timid. This bear was scared out of it's mind and just wanted to get away. Bunch of hick police officers.

So you can say NOTHING about that poor bear that was running away and already tranquilized. He would of ran into the woods and fell asleep. then they could of sent him to where ever they needed to. It was all bull shit.
